Circular Water Economy
Conference 2026

29-30 October 2026
Main Campus, University of Cyprus

About the Event

Circular Water Economy 2026 will bring together key European actors to address one critical challenge: why circular water solutions do not yet scale in practice.

This conference is not about technologies alone — nor about individual users.

It is about the system of actors required to implement circular water solutions in real-world conditions. Scaling depends on the alignment and coordination between utilities, operators, technology providers, integrators, and investors.

Taking place on 29–30 October 2026 at the University of Cyprus, the conference will bring together EU projects, industry, utilities, policymakers, and investors through a programme focused on implementation experience, system-level constraints, and pathways to scaling.

Call for Case Studies: From Pilot to Practice

Have you been involved in implementing a circular water solution under a completed H2020 project?

Circular Water Economy 2026 invites case study owners with real-world implementation experience to contribute to a European dialogue on what enables — and prevents — scaling in practice.

We are particularly interested in utilities, operators, technology providers, and industrial users who have moved beyond pilot stages or attempted to do so.

Please send a short expression of interest (project name, role, and implementation context) to:

Dr. Ir. Dimitrios Xevgenos (Chair of the Scientific Committee): d.xevgenos@tudelft.nl

Following an initial pre-screening, selected case studies will be invited for a short call to further refine their contribution and confirm their inclusion in the final programme.
